NEW TO THE 2021 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500

Seeing as the 2020 model version of the Chevy Silverado made some major changes, it stands to sense that the 2021 iteration didn’t receive sizeable changes. The 2021 Chevy Silverado makes strides in the tech realm by adding in wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay functionality across all trims. The new Silverado also adds an enhanced camera trailering feature along with increased towing capability. Probably the biggest change coming to the new Chevy Silverado is the multi-flex tailgate. Arriving later in 2021, the multi-flex tailgate will offer drivers 6 tailgate positions; ranging from step ladder to workstation. The new Chevy Silverado also makes driver assistance features available at lower trims, with the WT trim now offering available automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, front/rear park assist, rear cross traffic alert, and lane change alert with side blind zone alert.

2021 CHEVY SILVERADO ENGINE OPTIONS

More concerned with what kind of power the Chevy Silverado can offer? The new Chevy Silverado has not shortage of engine choices for drivers. In fact, drivers can look forward to five engine options and seven engine configurations. The standard WT trim comes equipped with a 4.3-liter V6 engine that provides 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque. Moving to the next most powerful engine has arrives arriving at a 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-4 variant, which manages 301 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque. Slotting in just above that is ta 5.3-liter engine that boasts 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The 5.3-liter V8 is available in three different configurations – each configuration offering a different transmission (6-,8-, or 10- speed automatic).
