Koons White Marsh Chevrolet

Feb 5, 2021

The latest model year of the Chevy Colorado comes laden with more power, tech, and versatility than ever before. The new model year of the Chevy Colorado gets a redesigned front fascia, revises some of its badging, and adds an upgradeable Chrome Appearance package. Otherwise, the Chevy Colorado is more or less the same. Drivers can look forward to the same three engine options (with one being a diesel), four trim levels, and a off-road-ready ZR2 trim level. The new Chevy Colorado is well-suited to handling a range of needs; from off-road adventures to hauling-heavy worksites.

PERFORMANCE

The Chevrolet Colorado offers up three engines: a 2.5-liter inline-4, a 3.6-liter V6, and a 2.8-liter inline-4 engine. The base 2.5-liter inline-4 engine manages 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque. The new Chevy Colorado also includes a more powerful V6 gas engine, which provides 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. The brawniest engine in the lineup is a diesel. The 2.8-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine manages 186 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. All three engines can come with two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The new Colorado includes a 6-speed automatic transmission or an 8-speed automatic transmission.

ZR2 TRIM LEVEL

The ZR2 trim level slots in as an off-road version of the Colorado. The ZR2 flexes its off-road chops by coming with four-wheel drive, an off-road rocket protector, 17-inch DuraTrac tires, and a ZR2 off-road package. The latter option might be the more exciting out of the list. The ZR2 package includes multitrack shocks, an off-road front fascia, and a taller/wider stance.
