The base 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine manages 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque while working with a front-wheel drivetrain and a 9-speed automatic transmission. White Marsh drivers can also look forward to all-wheel drive as an optional upgrade. If you’re after more power behind the wheel, then the brawny 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine might be a good option. The 2.0-liter turbocharged inlein-4 engine provides 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Like the base engine, the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine features standard front-wheel drive, optional all-wheel drive, and a standard 9-speed automatic transmission.

TOWING CAPACITY

If you’re looking to use the Chevy Equinox for some light adventuring, then you might be wondering how much it can tow. The option to that questions is: either 1,500 pounds or 3,500 pounds. The answer depends on the engine that comes with your Equinox. The base 1.5-liter turbocharged engine manages 1,500 pounds while the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine provides 3,500 pounds.
