5 BEST MARYLAND CRAB RESTAURANTS WORTH A DRIVE

Maryland crab has a reputation for being some of the country's best. While many local crab and seafood restaurants help keep that reputation alive, a few truly have a place at the top of the list. White Marsh is home to some incredible spots, but traveling a little further to other places in the state can guarantee insanely mouthwatering results. Here are some of our favorite Maryland restaurants known for their legendary crab dishes. We promise they're worth the drive. CRUISING CRAB First on the list has to be our own Cruising Crab. Luckily, you won't have to drive far to access this tasty spot. This mobile food-truck-style joint has all the classic menu items we Marylanders expect from our crab purveyors. The steamed crabs are simple and no fuss, and you can even order food from the company's website that ships nationwide. This way, even if Cruising Crab isn't just around the corner from you, you can still get the freshest local seafood right away. Be sure to try the steamed shrimp and shelled oysters, too. Two brothers, Ross and Harrison Lockhart, started the food-truck-style crab house back in 2020. Since their start, they've remained committed to offering sustainable and fresh seafood to their customers. The brothers source their crabs fresh daily from local anglers, hoping to reduce the environmental impacts associated with unsustainable fishing practices. They hand sort all their crabs and prepare them fresh to order, making it easy to support both our oceans and your taste buds. Cruising Crab is open noon to 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. LOCUST POINT STEAMERS Another great Maryland crab spot is Locust Point Steamers in Baltimore. This restaurant knows how to prepare excellent crab, and at less than 30 minutes away from White Marsh, it's well worth the adventure. The restaurant serves hot steamed crabs all year long, and it has lots of other tasty menu options, too. If you visit, be sure to try the Crab Fluff, a fried crab cake covered in a funnel-cake like batter and served with mustard. Those with an appetite and hungry friends can order "A Boh't Load of Food" from the menu. It's chock-full of steamed crabs, clams, mussels, scallops, lobster, shrimp, and more. The restaurant is family owned and managed, and you can taste the difference multiple generations of crab picking has on a crab shack. L.P. Steamers has many accolades, and one visit makes it easy to see why. A favorite for locals and touring foodies alike, L.P.'s is a must stop on your Maryland crab journey. You can visit the spot 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. JIMMY CANTLER'S RIVERSIDE INN Located in Annapolis, Maryland, Jimmy Cantler's Riverside Inn, dubbed just Cantler's for short, reminds us just how great crab can be. This waterfront restaurant and crab house serves anglers, locals, and visitors from its expansive menu of delicious seafood offerings. The inn serves famous Maryland blue crabs, crab cakes, lump crab imperial, and all other types of seafood. Dining here is truly a celebration of Chesapeake Bay heritage and authentic crab cooking. The restaurant's founders, Jimmy and Linda Cantler, are originally from Maryland, and they prepare crab the way only a Marylander can. The restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner starting at 11 a.m. You can make reservations Monday through Thursday for large parties of over 25, but for most occasions, the restaurant is first come, first served. Be sure to get there early to get your hands on some of the freshest crab around. The Cantler's expert handlers ensure they serve only the highest quality seafood to customers. Its hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday. BLUE CRAB HOUSE Head over to Street, Maryland, to try Blue Crab House. The restaurant specializes in preparing fresh seafood, soups, and salads for its customers, and its menu is packed full of fresh, salty goodness. Try the cream of crab soup, the crab pretzel, and the crab cake platter when you go. Blue Crab House purchases all of its crab locally to support sustainability, local angers, and freshness. You can see the difference in quality right away. There's no mistaking the difference between a locally sourced crab and one from a national distributor. Jimmy and Holly Marcin own Blue Crab House. The two stay involved throughout the process of bringing fresh crab menu items to their customers. From purchasing the crabs to serving them, Jimmy and Holly help every step of the way. Blue Crab House is only open seasonally, so be sure to check them out during the warmer months for an unforgettable meal. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. THE POINT CRAB HOUSE AND GRILL Last on the list, though not last in our hearts, is The Point Crab House and Grill in Arnold, Maryland. This dockside spot lets you enjoy the salty sea breeze while eating some of the best crab Maryland has to offer. It's located on Mill Creek Road on a secluded point that offers astounding views of the water. The restaurant's chef, Bobby Jones, has created some truly delightful menu offerings for customers. The menu changes seasonally to ensure only the freshest ingredients go into each meal. The Point Crab House and Grill is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Note that the kitchen closes one hour before closing time, so get there early for some of the best crab you'll ever have. It's always worth driving for the best, and here in Maryland, we truly have some of the best crab in the country. If you're new to the area or just passing through, we hope these spots convince you of Maryland's well-earned legendary reputation. Know of a great spot we forgot to mention? Let us know. We'd love to update our list to include even more great Maryland crab options. Dinner by Jeff Weese is licensed with CC BY 2.0

THE 2023 CHEVY COLORADO RELEASE INFO

The third-generation Chevrolet Colorado offers several exciting new features for the 2023 model year. A new exterior, redesigned interior, and updated powertrain lineup await you in this exceptional midsize pickup. If you're in the market for a durable truck that can get you where you need to go in comfort and style, then look no further than the all-new Colorado. Here you can find out more about this truck's 2023 trim levels. ENGINE The previous models of the Chevy Colorado offered three different engine options. The 2023 Colorado is only available with one engine in three variations, but it provides you with plenty of power. It has a 2.7-liter inline-four block with various outputs depending on the trim level that you select. In the WT and LT trims, the engine delivers 237 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque. If you choose the Z71 or Trail Boss trims, you get 301 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. The ZR2 is at the top of the trim lineup, and its 2.7-liter high-output engine pumps out 310 hp and an impressive 430 lb-ft of torque. The maximum towing capacity for the Colorado is up to 7,700 lbs, which puts it at the top of the list for towing capacity capability in the midsize truck class. It's not yet clear whether the powertrain will be paired with an eight-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission. Either way, the Colorado will offer smooth transitions between gears. PERFORMANCE The 2023 Colorado is a capable truck that performs well over every terrain. It comes configured with either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The open-air differential helps the lower trims with traction, while the mid-level options feature a limited-slip differential. If you choose the ZR2 trim, you'll have exceptional traction control thanks to the power-locking front and rear differentials. Although the gas mileage estimates haven't been released for this truck yet, they're expected to be similar to previous model years. EXTERIOR While this year's Colorado only has a 5-ft bed crew cab, the other changes to the exterior make it an eye-catching pickup that you won't want to miss. For example, the off-road capable ZR2 trim has 10.7 inches of ground clearance and 33-inch tires to ensure that you make it over even the trickiest obstacles. If this seems like overkill, you should check out the Trail Boss, which comes with 32-inch tires and a factory-installed lift kit. Other features on these two top-tier trims include wider fender flares, underbody skidplates, upgraded dampers, and rugged all-terrain tires. Another slick feature that's offered as an upgrade in all but the ZR2 trim, where it's standard, is a new tailgate storage system. This tailgate has a 45-inch wide, 4-inch-deep compartment with a watertight lid. It features two cup holders and a measuring tape that's incorporated into the edge of its surface. Once you have it, you won't know how you ever lived without it. INTERIOR Because the all-new Chevy Colorado is only offered as a four-door crew cab, rear-seat passengers will have more room than in the previous extended cab versions. A new center console moves the shifter toward the passenger side of the cab, and the cup holders are now in front of the gear shifter instead of awkwardly placed on the opposite side of the shifter. An 8-inch digital color cluster display makes it easy to see important driver information. For the first time in its history, the Colorado will offer the option of a sunroof to help to brighten up the cabin. Stay connected as you travel with a larger 11.3-inch infotainment screen that's standard across the lineup. It lets you easily access your favorite apps, music, and maps due to the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration along with the ability to add Google Built-in services. Wireless charging is also now a standard feature, but don't worry — you can still use USB ports in your truck if your phone requires it. A new steering wheel design makes for a more comfortable drive, and the mellow interior colors help you to stay calm and relaxed on the road. SAFETY Although the previous versions of the Colorado aimed to keep you and your passengers safe, you'll be surprised to learn that even more safety features are available with the 2023 models. The standard safety tech that's offered through the Chevy Safety Assist package includes automatic emergency braking to help you to stop faster when you need to, forward collision warning to alert you of objects in your path, and automatic high beams to simplify night driving. Additional standard driver-assist features include lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and front pedestrian detection. You can add several upgraded safety features to your truck if you want to feel even safer behind the wheel, such as adaptive cruise control. This can adjust your speed so that you don't have to hit the brakes when the car ahead of you slows down. Blind-spot monitoring is also available, which can help you see objects that you wouldn't be able to otherwise. The surround-view parking camera, rear pedestrian detection, and rear cross-traffic alert are additional optional features that you can add to your truck to improve your safety on the road. Before you buy your next midsize pickup, check out all the new upgrades on the 2023 Chevy Colorado. It promises to be better than ever, and you won't want to miss out. Our team at Koons Chevrolet in White Marsh can answer any questions that you have about this amazing new truck, so feel free to contact us today. 2023 EQUINOX BUYER'S GUIDE

The Chevrolet Equinox is one of the most sought-after compact crossovers on the market right now. Perhaps people purchase it due to its roomy interior or impressive infotainment system, but whatever the reason, it has made this crossover an important part of the Chevrolet lineage. The final week of production for the 2022 version will start on Aug. 19. As much as we love the 2022 version, its production end means that the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will be with us in a matter of months. Read on to find out what new features and trim levels the 2023 Chevy Equinox version will bring. OVERVIEW The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is expected to be a refreshed take on the 2022 version, meaning there's no redesign or major change planned until 2024, when Chevrolet aims to release the Equinox crossover with a new look. To explain it better, we need to go back to the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox, which received a facelift originally scheduled for the 2021 version. Due to the pandemic and the global microchip shortage, it was delayed and rescheduled for the current model. Most changes were made to the grille and exterior lighting. Additionally, a sportier-looking model joined the lineup — the RS — which has a different front-end design, 19-inch wheels, and black exterior trim and upholstery. Chevrolet also made a meaningful change to the crossover's engine and transmission so that all models now have a 170 horsepower, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. Every model uses front-wheel drive as standard, but you can opt for an all-wheel-drive (AWD) version. The available trim levels for this version are LS, LT, RS, and Premier. The 2022 version also received the highest marks from the National Institute for Highway Safety and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration. As noted, the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will be a carryover of the 2022 version, so most of those specifications, except for the engine, will stay the same. Also, it's expected that an all-electric version will be available in fall 2023. PRICING AND RUMORED RELEASE DATE As one of the most popular vehicles on the market, the 2023 version of the Chevrolet Equinox is expected to maintain the same MSRP of $26,995 for the base model and $32,145 for the most expensive model. This is partly because Chevrolet wants customers to keep coming back and to keep an edge over the competition. Regarding the release date, we know that Chevrolet started accepting orders for the 2023 Equinox in late June, and production is set to begin in late August. However, there's yet to be an official statement from the company announcing the release date. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION As stated before, the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox uses a 170-horsepower, 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine; however, the 2023 version received a boost of 5 horsepower. In other words, the 2023 version will have an output of 175 horsepower, with the same six-speed automatic transmission. The torque remains the same, at 203 lb-ft. The 2023 Equinox version is also coming with front-wheel drive (FWD) as standard, but customers can opt for AWD too. Regarding fuel economy, this version is estimated to have 26 mpg for city driving and 31 mpg on the highway for FWD models, and 25 mpg and 30 mpg, respectively, for AWD models. INTERIOR As with most vehicles, the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox's interior comfort and styling will depend on the trim level you choose. For example, the LS and LT trim levels come with cloth upholstery, while the RS and Premier trims use perforated leather. In the same way, a wrapped steering wheel is standard in the Premier trim and optional in the RS. The LS and LT trims come with a 7-inch infotainment touch screen, while an 8-inch version is standard for upper trims. The LT and RS models use a new safety and infotainment package, including a 360-degree camera system, a heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, and navigation. This five-seat compact crossover has a rear legroom space of 39.9 inches and 29.6 cubic feet of cargo space or 63.9 cubic feet if the rear seats are folded down. EXTERIOR STYLING The exterior styling of the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox maintains the characteristic essence of past models with a few twitches. The base model, LS, uses 17-inch alloy wheels along with LED headlights — now the standard lights for all models. Customers can also opt for a Midnight Edition cosmetics package, which includes black exterior elements and 18-inch alloy wheels. Another important change has been made to the color palette of the 2023's lineup with Radiant Red Tintcoat, Harvest Bronze Metallic, and Sterling Gray as the newest options available. PERFORMANCE If you had the pleasure of driving the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox, then you already know that driving this crossover feels great. Yet, Chevrolet decided to slightly improve the crossover's brake system, so you can enjoy an even better driving experience. As we stated before, the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox had a small increase in engine output, but the change here is in the brake system — it now has an electronic booster to upgrade the brakes. In addition, the suspension is set for everyday comfort, and the maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds. INTERESTING FEATURES The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox comes with lots of features that make this crossover a solid option for buyers. The first feature we'd like to mention is OnStar, a handy system for roadside assistance, emergency service calling, and vehicle diagnostics. Every new Equinox comes with a five-year subscription to this feature. The second feature is the hands-free tailgate operation, which is activated every time your foot comes near the sensor under the rear bumper as long as you have the key with you. Please note that this is only available for upper trim levels. And the third and last feature we'd like to mention is the safety alert seat, which informs drivers of approaching threats by vibrating the right or left side of the driver's seat, depending on the direction of the threat. HOW CAN KOONS WHITE MARSH CHEVROLET HELP YOU? If you're in the White Marsh, Maryland, area, we invite you to get in touch so that we can help you on your journey to purchasing the 2023 Chevy Equinox. 4 FAMILY-FRIENDLY UPCOMING EVENTS IN MARYLAND

As the weather starts to cool down during the late summer and early fall, you and your family may be looking for opportunities to explore the state of Maryland and all it has to offer. Below, you can check out some upcoming family-friendly events that you can mark on the family calendar. TAKE YOUR PUP TO TAILS ON THE RAILS When you're talking about attendees to a family-friendly event, you can't forget any four-legged children in your crew. The B&O Railroad Museum hosts its annual Tails on the Rails event in late October. At this event, every canine, including senior dogs and young pups, is welcome to explore and play. One of the most anticipated attractions is the photo booth. You can capture photos to remember the day forever, as long as you don't mind if your dog upstages you. There are plenty of amusing props to use that will make the resulting photos even more fun-filled and memorable. Once your family and pup are done posing, you can hop on a train ride that allows all pups aboard. The train ride leads to Carroll Park where all the furry participants can partake in a playdate. This event concludes with the colloquially named "Yappy Hour." At this point, all attendees can socialize on the B&O Railroad Museum's spacious outdoor patio and enjoy the free alcoholic beverage that comes with each ticket. If you plan to attend Tails on the Rails this year, be sure to dress yourself, your kids, and your pup in your best Halloween attire. Dressing up with your family will get you into the spirit of the occasion, and you can even enter your pup in the costume contest for a chance at winning a prize. ENJOY LIVE MUSIC AT SUNFEST Sunfest is a highly anticipated music festival in Ocean City, Maryland. For 2022, the event is set to start on Oct. 20. No worries if you and your family can't make it out there that day, however, as Sunfest goes until Oct. 23. It's a 10-hour long event on the first three days and an eight-hour event on the last day, so you'll have plenty of time to explore everything it has to offer. Sunfest will occur all four days whether there's rain or shine, so you don't have to worry about inclement weather cutting your family's fun short. All the festival activities take place on the south end of the city's famous boardwalk. You'll find several stands that allow young children to partake in arts and crafts. They'll have a blast making their creations, and they'll be able to take a piece of the event home with them. Other activities you'll want to check out include the hayrides and various food vendors. Sunfest is also known for its provision of musical entertainment. Although Sunfest hasn't announced its 2022 acts yet, it's had engaging headlining performers in the past. Some previous performers have included the likes of The Eli Young Band and The Fabulous Hubcaps. This year, we can expect similar high-quality acts to take the stage at Sunfest. GATHER WITH THE FREDERICK COMMUNITY AT IN THE STREETS In The Streets is an annual event in Frederick that's been a tradition for community members for 30 years. What started as a humble event of around 10,000 people in 1983 has since grown to include more than 75,000 attendees each year. During In The Streets, people from all over Maryland gather to celebrate the history of the Frederick community. The event begins with a one-mile road race on Market Street. It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned runner or more of a couch potato, as everyone can participate to get some exercise in before the rest of the event continues. There's a special "Family Run" category to sign up for, so be sure to look out for that when you're registering. After you've broken a sweat, the real fun begins. Your family can explore all of the event's themed blocks that run from All Saints Street to 7th Street. This year, the different themed blocks include the Sports Block, the Art Block, the History Block, and the Health & Wellness Block. We're particularly excited for the Artisan Block, which will feature various products, like soap, jewelry, and artwork, created by local artisans. There are also a few educational blocks, like the Going Green Block, that can teach kids and families how to be better community members. GO BACK IN TIME AT THE MARYLAND RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL The Maryland Renaissance Festival is a great family-friendly event where you can embrace your inner child while spending the day with your loved ones. Before you go, be sure to put on your most historic clothing, including puffy long-sleeved shirts, Robin Hood hats, and corsets, to really get into the spirit. THE NEW 2023 CHEVY SILVERADO CAN HANDLE ANY TERRAIN IN STYLE

Year after year, the Chevrolet Silverado continues to be a top choice for drivers who want a powerful pickup truck with maximum capabilities, whether you're hauling materials between job sites or heading out on an off-road adventure. In 2023, you can expect Chevy to continue making even more upgrades to its best-selling Silverado lineup. Review this guide to learn how the upcoming 2023 Chevrolet Silverado compares with the 2022 version. PERFORMANCE The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado offers four drivetrain options, which are expected to remain the same for 2023 models. The base engine is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, though a four-wheel-drive system is available. An upgraded 5.3-liter V-8 engine, which comes standard on some upper-level 2022 Silverado models, boasts 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission. It offers the same rear-wheel and four-wheel-drive systems as the base engine. The other two engines offer maximum power and efficiency. A 6.2-liter V-8 engine, standard on the sporty ZR2 trim, delivers 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and connects to a four-wheel-drive system. An available Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine provides 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine, which pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission, offers the best fuel economy in the Silverado lineup. With rear-wheel drive, it gets an EPA-estimated 31 mpg highway and 23 mpg city, while four-wheel-drive versions get an estimated 26 mpg highway and 22 mpg city. TRIM LEVELS In 2022, Chevrolet introduced an all-new model to the Silverado lineup: the ZR2, a powerful truck with impressive off-roading capabilities. Slotted between the High Country and LTZ trims, the ZR2 is expected to return in 2023 with minor updates. The ZR2 features newly upgraded steel front and rear bumpers for off-road durability and large underbody aluminum skid plates for extra protection when you're hitting the trails. A specialized off-road suspension, mud-terrain tires, and standard four-wheel drive make this truck an excellent choice for anyone looking to travel off the beaten path. Other trims in the 2022 Silverado lineup include the ever-capable LT, the stylish LTZ, and the top-level High Country. While these trims are likely to continue into the 2023 model year, Chevy may discontinue the Silverado 1500 Limited, according to the blog, GM Authority. Even without the Limited, the 2023 Silverado fleet will offer plenty of options for drivers seeking different features and customizations within varying price points. EXTERIOR In 2022, the Silverado received some exterior upgrades that are expected to carry over into the 2023 model year. These features include redesigned headlamps, a new front bumper and grille, and available 18-, 20-, and 22-inch wheel options. An available multi-flex tailgate, which is likely to be an option for most 2023 Silverado trims, provides various load and access features for enhanced versatility. The 2023 Chevy Silverado will likely come with the same three cab configurations as the 2022 model year, which are crew, double, and regular. The double cab comes with a standard bed, measuring 89 inches. A smaller bed size is available in crew cab versions, while the regular cab offers a long bed. According to Kelley Blue Book, the 2023 Silverado could come in three new exterior colors: Radiant Red Tintcoat, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Harvest Bronze Metallic. INTERIOR Depending on the trim and cab configuration you choose, the 2023 Chevy Silverado will likely have the same passenger occupancy as the 2022 model year. The regular cab versions can seat three passengers with a 40/20/40 split-bench front seat, while the double and crew cab Silverado models have seating for up to six passengers. The base trim comes standard with vinyl seats, while higher trims offer cloth or leather upholstery. Other available features, which may come standard in some 2023 trims, include heated seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. TECHNOLOGY The Chevy Silverado received upgraded technology features in 2022, and it's likely the 2023 models will continue to offer those same high-tech features. A 7-inch touch screen comes standard on the three lower trims, while all other models feature a 13.4-inch diagonal infotainment touch screen. The larger touch screen offers Bluetooth streaming, a multi-touch display, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. You can customize the display's entertainment and vehicle features to access the apps and functions you use the most. Other features likely to be standard on some 2023 models include wireless charging and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. SAFETY Every 2022 Chevrolet Silverado comes equipped with Chevy Safety Assist, a comprehensive package of safety and driver-assistance features to keep you and your passengers safe on the road. In 2023, expect those same safety features to be included on all Silverado models. The Chevy Safety Assist package includes: Forward collision alert: This feature warns you when a front-end collision may occur so you can take action. It also provides a tailgating alert when it senses the truck following another vehicle too closely. Automatic emergency braking: At speeds below 50 mph, automatic emergency braking can apply the brakes in some situations to help you avoid a front-end collision. Front pedestrian braking: This safety feature provides alerts and can automatically apply the brakes to help you avoid a front-end collision with a pedestrian. Lane keep assist with lane departure warning: If you unintentionally drift outside of a lane, this feature will use alerts to steer you safely back into the correct lane. Following distance indicator: By displaying the gap time in seconds between the Silverado and another vehicle, this feature can help you decide if you're following too closely. High beam assist: This feature automatically turns the truck's high-beam headlights on and off based on traffic, providing safe, enhanced illumination when you're driving at night. THE 2023 CHEVY TAHOE SS IS HERE!

For those considering a Chevy Tahoe, you may want to wait a few months for the release of the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe SS. Rumor has it that the SS packs quite a punch. This new high-performance model gives the three-row SUV enhanced speed, making it fun to drive. The Koons White Marsh Chevrolet team proudly announces that the 2023 Chevy Tahoe SS is here! EXTERIOR FEATURES The SS on the model name of the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe SS stands for Super Sport. This new trim of the Chevy Tahoe is sure to impress when it hits the road. This new take on the Tahoe includes standard features such as distinctive 18-inch alloy wheels, with an updated front fascia to resemble more of the Silverado's principles. You can also expect to see redesigned taillights, a unique grille, upgraded brakes, and perhaps even adaptive air suspension on the latest Tahoe trim. Not much else is known about the exterior features at this time, as Chevrolet has been keeping the new Tahoe SS under heavy camouflage, making it a challenge for even the best spy photographers to get a good shot. ENGINE OPTIONS Today's most powerful engine in the Tahoe lineup is a 6.2-liter V8 that delivers 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine can take the Tahoe from zero to 60 in approximately 6.5 seconds, which is already an impressive feat for a large SUV. Imagine if Chevy adds a 6.2-liter V8 LT4 to the SS trim. That's the engine from the Camaro ZL1 and the most-rumored engine option for the 2023 Chevy Tahoe SS. The LT4 option cranks out 650 horsepower and up to 650 lb-ft of torque for some serious power. The Camaro goes from zero to 60 in just four seconds with the LT4 engine. The Tahoe is heavier and larger than the Camaro, so we don't expect to see quite that fast of a takeoff, but the power option is still impressive. Another option would be the 5.3-liter V8 that produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. That engine is the current Tahoe standard, so it would need to be amped up to qualify as high-performance for this Super Sport trim. Of course, there are also rumors that the Tahoe SS will be equipped with a new hybrid engine or at least have one as an option. Either way, we can't wait to see what Chevrolet puts under the hood of this high-performance Tahoe SS. INTERIOR FEATURES The 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe SS can expect to have tri-zone weather conditions control, leather-twisted controls, a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and satellite radio. It should also have a 10.2-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone capabilities. The Tahoe SS offers plenty of legroom for each row, including the third row that comfortably seats any adult. The front seats will be heated and ventilated, while the second-row outboard seats will have heat. You can also expect to get keyless entry, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and a dual-pane sunroof to let the sun shine in on everyone. SAFETY AND DRIVER-ASSISTANCE FEATURES Chevrolet knows how important safety and driver-assistance features are when it comes to purchasing a new vehicle and has packed the 2023 Tahoe SS accordingly. Standard features should include an advanced air bag system, forward collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist, and parking sensors as they're the current standard safety and driver-assistance features on the Tahoe LS. Available features include a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a head-up display, a surround-view parking camera system, and adaptive cruise control. You can drive confidently in the 2023 Tahoe SS knowing that Chevrolet has the safety of you and your passengers covered. CARGO AND TOWING FEATURES As a large SUV, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe SS is designed to be a hauler, whether that's for cargo or people. Depending on the engine that ends up in the latest Tahoe trim, you should be able to haul between 7,500 and 8,400 pounds with the SS and the Max Trailering package. This available capacity means you can bring along the boat, RV, or ATV for a weekend of adventure and fun with your Tahoe. You also get plenty of cargo space behind the third row to let everyone pack for the weekend. The current Tahoe offers approximately 25 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, 73 cubic feet when you fold down the third row, and 123 cubic feet with both rear rows folded down. We don't expect Chevy to change the available cargo space in the SS because the Tahoe is known for its ability to haul people or cargo wherever you need. 2023 CHEVY TAHOE SS RELEASE DATE Chevrolet has not officially announced an anticipated release date for the 2023 Tahoe SS. We expect this latest trim to hit showroom floors across the nation in the late fall of 2022. Chevrolet is expected to release at least six trim levels for the Tahoe, from the base LS to the High Country. You can get a 2022 Tahoe in the LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country trims. It's unclear whether the SS will be an additional trim level, bringing the options to seven, or if it will replace one of the current trims. Either way, the anticipation is unbearable.
