TRAILBLAZER ACTIV TRIM

Chevy offers the Trailblazer in four trim levels. Each trim has the option to add all-wheel-drive (AWD), but the ACTIV trim comes standard with sport terrain tires, a suspension system tuned for off-road, a functional front skid plate, and the larger 1.3-liter turbocharged engine. These upgrades make the ACTIV trim ready for your next offroad excursion.

POWER TO PERFORM

The ECOTEC 1.3-liter turbo engine pairs with a nine-speed electronically controlled transmission that features a driver shift control (DSC). The DSC system allows you to tap up or down through the gears, similar to a manual transmission but without the clutch pedal. This powertrain puts out 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque.

INTELLIGENT ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE

Chevy’s selectable AWD system allows you to activate and deactivate the AWD as you need it. So whether you head to the sandy beach or the wintry weather rolls in, starting the AWD allows you maximum control in low traction situations. The system constantly monitors all four wheels, making the necessary adjustments in power to the wheels that can use it most.

With the AWD system, you get three selectable drive modes. You choose Normal mode for your everyday commute. The Sport mode tunes your suspension, steering, and throttle for a more thrilling drive. Selecting AWD mode engages the full power of your AWD to aid in various adverse driving conditions.

SUSPENSION, STEERING, TIRES, AND BRAKES

The Chevrolet Trailblazer ACTIV trim rolls on 17-inch High Gloss Black aluminum wheels with machined face wrapped in sport terrain Blackwall tires. Chevy tuned the ACTIV trim’s suspension system to handle the rough-and-tumble offroad situations. The suspension system softens and smooths out the uneven surfaces you’re destined to encounter. An electronic power steering system provides responsive control with minimal driver input.

Four-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS) come standard on the Trailblazer. The ABS keeps your brakes from locking up in emergency braking situations. Instead of locking your brake pads onto the discs, the system pulses the brake pressure. This pulsing action keeps your tires rotating, which improves your traction as your Trailblazer comes to a controlled stop.

TRAILER PACKAGE

Chevy includes a trailer package standard on the ACTIV trim. The package consists of a four-pin wiring harness with sealed connections. In addition, we recommend getting the optional trailer hitch from Chevy, which will have you adventure-ready from day one. When properly equipped, the Trailblazer can tow up to 1,000 pounds. 

STANDARD AND OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

You get roof-mounted side rails standard on the ACTIV trim. Adding the crossbars allows you to load up a canoe, mountain bikes, and other outdoor gear you enjoy using on your weekly adventures. However, you want to protect your Trailblazer from dirt, rocks, and debris kicked up on those dirt roads into the hills. For that, we recommend adding the splash guards to the front and rear. The splash guards protect your Trailblazer’s body and paint while adding a bit of off-road style.

Halogen headlamps come standard on every Trailblazer, helping illuminate your way when no streetlights can be found. You can opt for LED headlights to further brighten your view. The Trailblazer’s standard LED fog lamps come in handy during those early morning excursions with the fog rolling in off the bay.

The power-adjustable outside mirrors heat up to defog and defrost on those cooler days. If you find yourself needing to squeeze through tight spaces in the woods, you can fold the side mirrors in to protect them from damage. Your adventures often come with spectacular views. That’s why we recommend you get the optional panoramic power sunroof. This dual-panel sunroof opens with the push of a button offering up a clear view of that starry sky. It even has a tilt feature to let in some clean, fresh air.

TECHNOLOGY

Every Trailblazer comes with Chevy’s Infotainment 3 system that connects your smart devices to the 7-inch touchscreen audio display. Now you can access your favorite playlists to suit your adventurous mood. You can also make hands-free calls, access navigation information, and more, using intuitive voice commands. Your Trailblazer also turns into a Wi-Fi hot spot that connects multiple devices, which keeps you connected no matter where your latest trek takes you.

CARGO AND PASSENGER ROOM

You can seat up to five people in the Trailblazer. So go ahead and invite your friends for an afternoon hike or a day at the beach. You can throw your beach gear in the rear cargo area that holds up to 25.3 cubic feet behind the second row. If you need to haul gear instead, the second-row seat folds flat. Even the front passenger seat folds flat, opening up 54.4 cubic feet of cargo space that stretches over eight feet in length.
