Koons White Marsh Chevrolet

Two popular SUV models from Chevrolet are the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer and the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer. However, despite their similar names, these two SUVs are very different models. They’re both great options, but one of them is likely a better fit for your needs than the other. Below, we’ll highlight some of the key differences between the two models to help you decide which is right for you.

2023 CHEVROLET BLAZER VS. CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER: INTERIOR SPACE AND COMFORT

Let’s start by looking at the interior of these two vehicles. The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer’s interior is stylish and functional, with plenty of soft-touch materials and a two-tone color scheme. The round air vents and intuitive climate-control system make it easy to adjust the interior temperature based on your preferences. The rear seats feature plenty of space for taller adult passengers, while the cargo area has an abundance of space at 31 cubic feet. Available interior upgrades for the Blazer include leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, and ambient lighting.

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer similarly offers a spacious and comfortable cabin. Once again, adults should have plenty of space in the back seats, while drivers will enjoy the high driving position and comfortable driver’s seat. If you want a slightly more upscale look with your Trailblazer, more premium trims come with features such as chrome embellishments and some colored trim pieces. Finally, the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is great when it comes to cargo space, with 25 cubic feet in the rear, which you can expand by folding down not only the rear seats but also the front passenger seat.

2023 CHEVROLET BLAZER VS. CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER: PERFORMANCE

Both vehicles feature a great driving experience thanks to their internal powertrains. On the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer, the standard setup is a turbocharged 2-liter engine that produces 228 horsepower. This pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. With this setup, the Blazer can tow up to 1500 lbs. There’s also a V-6 engine available that produces 308 horsepower, which will allow you to tow up to 4500 lbs.

For the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer, there are two different turbocharged engines available. The first is a 1.2-liter engine that produces 137 horsepower and comes with only front-wheel drive. The other option is a 1.3-liter engine that produces 155 horsepower and can come with all-wheel drive. Both engines pair with a continuously variable transmission unless you select an all-wheel drive model, in which case you’ll get a nine-speed automatic transmission.

2023 CHEVROLET BLAZER VS. CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER: FUEL EFFICIENCY

Fuel efficiency is another important consideration for any new vehicle you select. With the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer, you can expect to get around 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway when you select the standard engine. If you upgrade to the V-6 engine, these estimates change to 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. Selecting all-wheel drive may drop the estimates a little further for both engines.

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is a little more fuel efficient compared to the Chevrolet Blazer. With the standard engine options, the EPA estimates you’ll get around 29 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. Choosing the larger 1.3-liter engine and all-wheel drive changes these estimates to 26 mpg and 30 mpg, respectively.

2023 CHEVROLET BLAZER VS. CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER: ENTERTAINMENT

To keep you entertained on long drives, both the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer and the Chevrolet Trailblazer come with great entertainment tech. Inside the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer, there’s a 10-inch infotainment touch screen that makes it easy to control your favorite media sources. This includes your smartphone, as you get both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integrations. For an even better audio experience, the Blazer can come with an improved eight-speaker Bose audio system.

With the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer, a 7-inch infotainment touch screen comes standard, but an 8-inch unit is also available. This system also features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with SiriusXM satellite radio. The standard audio setup features four speakers, with a six-speaker and a premium Bose setup also available.

2023 CHEVROLET BLAZER VS. CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER: SAFETY

Finally, both the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer and the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer have the latest safety technology onboard. They share many of the same features, and the model and trim will determine which features come standard. For both the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer and the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer, the base model includes features such as lane departure warning and automated emergency braking, with other features such as adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring available as upgrades.

WHICH MODEL IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Even though these two models are similar in name, there are some big differences between the two models. If you’re looking for a reliable and affordable SUV, you’ll likely prefer the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer, as its starting MSRP is $23,395. On the other hand, if you want a more premium driving experience and have a slightly larger budget, you might want to explore the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer and its starting MSRP of $36,495.

Baltimore, Maryland, is known for its crabs. Chesapeake Bay blue crabs are a signature seafood specialty that you’ll find on any menu you pick up in Charm City. And while you can find plenty of places to enjoy steamed crabs coated in spicy Old Bay seasoning, several Baltimore establishments take crab to new levels. Discover the following six places featuring crab in dynamic dishes.

BLUE CRAB EGG ROLLS AT WATERSHED

With its home in the newly remodeled Cross Street Market, Watershed delivers classic Maryland seafood with signature dishes and new takes on familiar classics. The expansive rooftop deck beckons guests outdoors during the warmer seasons for casual dining in the heart of Federal Hill.

Leave it to the culinary pros at Watershed to prepare your blue crab egg rolls. This deep-fried crab delicacy offers a mixture of blue crab, shrimp, ginger, and scallions paired with a spicy aioli. Take one bite, and you’ll order these unbeatable appetizers each time you visit.

Location: 1065 S. Charles St., Baltimore.

Telephone: 410-888-3878.

CRAB MEATBALLS AT THE FOOD MARKET

Located on The Avenue in Hampden, The Food Market delivers imaginative fare from Chef Chad Gauss and his team. Each dish on The Food Market’s menu reflects approachable, excellent comfort food with clever interpretations of classic dishes.

You might ask, “Where’s the beef?” when you sample the meatballs at The Food Market, but you probably won’t miss the beef after the first bite. In place of meat, you’ll find luscious blue lump crabmeat served with pasta and topped with a sherry Fra Diavolo sauce. While they’re not your mama’s meatballs, the crab meatballs at The Food Market put a distinctive Baltimore twist on a classic Italian dish.

Location: 1017 W. 36th St., Baltimore.

Telephone: 410-366-0606.

CRAB PIZZA AT MATTHEW’S PIZZA

A staple part of the community since 1943, Matthew’s Pizza is where Baltimoreans go when they’re craving a slice of pizza. The 79-year-old pizza parlor on Eastern Avenue has its fair share of accolades beyond Charm City. The New York Times and the Travel Channel have each turned the spotlight on this neighborhood pizzeria and its uncomplicated approach toward making pizza just the way you like it.

The pizza masters at Matthew’s Pizza have come up with a pizza to delight crab lovers: the aptly named crab pie. A crispy, deep-dish, 10-inch crust serves as the base for a topping of 100% backfin crabmeat with hand-grated mozzarella and imported cheeses topped with caramelized onions and Old Bay seasoning. While this pizza is available at market price only, the taste is worth the splurge.

Location: 3131 Eastern Ave., Baltimore.

Telephone: 410-276-8755.

CRAB QUICHE AT GERTRUDE’S RESTAURANT

Located within the Baltimore Museum of Art, Gertrude’s Restaurant has been a fixture in Baltimore’s restaurant scene for over 20 years. Founded by Chef John Shields and John Gilligan in 1998, Gertrude’s embraces a farm-to-table approach to its menu that celebrates Maryland’s bounty, from land to sea.

While diners at Gertrude’s will find plenty of crab specialties to pique their palate, one dish you should try is the Back Creek Inn Crab Quiche. Served platter style, this lovely lunch or light dinner dish features tender bites of jumbo lump crabmeat with eggs, Swiss cheese, red onion, and fresh herbs served with a crisp garden salad.

If you’re craving even more crab, you can pair the crab quiche with a cup or bowl of Miss Jean’s Red Crab Soup. This savory soup, featuring vegetables and lump crabmeat, makes an excellent comfort food that you can enjoy at any time of the year, especially during cold weather.

Location: 10 Art Museum Drive, Baltimore.

Telephone: 410-889-3399.

STEAK TRIANTAFILOS AT COSTAS INN

Since 1971, the Costas Inn has been a melting pot of culinary innovation. Its menu is as diverse as its customers, with Greek and Italian influences sprinkled throughout the dishes. Naturally, seafood stars at the Costas Inn, and if you’re craving crab, the dishes here will be just what you’re after.

If you have a big appetite, you’ll love the Steak Triantafilos. A 12-ounce New York strip steak gets a hearty topping of jumbo lump crab imperial. With each succulent bite you pop into your mouth, your taste buds will delight in the jumbo lump crabmeat wrapped in a luscious imperial sauce and broiled to a golden brown. No surf-and-turf special will ever look or taste as good as it does with this dish at the Costas Inn.

Location: 4100 N. Point Blvd., Baltimore.

Telephone: 410-477-1975.

LOBSTER CRAB ROLL AT NICK’S FISH HOUSE

Located in the Port Covington area of Baltimore, Nick’s Fish House serves some of the freshest seafood fare. Its waterfront deck makes for the perfect happy hour spot during the warmer months of the year. With a calendar filled with live music and entertainment, Nick’s Fish House will quickly become your go-to spot for a celebration.

You’re likely familiar with lobster rolls, but the lobster crab roll at Nick’s Fish House takes on a new meaning. This succulent sandwich unites Maine lobster and lump crabmeat tossed in a Chesapeake-style dressing and served chilled on a split-top roll. If your appetite allows, pair your lobster crab roll with one of the crab-inspired soups on the menu, such as cream of crab, Maryland crab soup, and Maryland gumbo.

Location: 2600 Insulator Drive, Baltimore.

Telephone: 410-347-4123.

It can be difficult to determine which truck is best for you, but if the Silverado 2500HD or 3500HD are both on the table, you probably want a lot of power. How wide is the gap between these Chevy vehicles, and which is the better value? Learn the key differences between these two pickup trucks below, so you can select the best option for your needs. Koons White Marsh Chevrolet in White Marsh is at your side to help you compare the Chevy Silverado 2500 with the 3500.

WHAT ARE THE SILVERADO 2500HD AND 3500HD?

The 2500HD and 3500HD, or just Silverado 2500 and 3500, are two larger versions of the Silverado. They are different from the standard, half-ton Silverado 1500, which is a powerful pickup truck. Heavy-duty (HD), pickup trucks are similar to their moderately large cousins, but they come with engines not found on the regular size. They are just like the Silverado 1500 but are capable of even more intense work, such as towing, winching, hauling, uphill off-roading, and even fifth-wheel trailering.

CHEVY SILVERADO 2500 VS. 3500: ENGINES AND CAPACITY

The Silverado 2500 and 3500 both include a 6.6-liter V-8 as the basic engine and offer 401 horsepower, 464 lb-ft of torque, and a six-speed automatic transmission. A newly optimized 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel V-8 engine, combined with a 10-speed Allison transmission, provides 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque.

The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 offers a fantastic towing limit of 13,300 lbs when equipped with the 6.2-liter V-8 engine, plus a still great 8,900 lbs on the ZR2. That said, the gas-powered Silverado 2500 can tow up to 14,500 lbs. It can also haul up to 3,614 lbs of payload, and a gooseneck or fifth-wheel hitch in place of a cargo bed lets it tow up to 17,390 lbs. With a diesel engine, you can tow up to 18,500 lbs and carry up to 3,900 lbs of payload.

These two Chevy trucks have a good reputation for heavy-duty operations, providing excellent HD strength and resilience both on and off the road. The 3500 stands out with the potential to add dual rear wheels, extending its capabilities even further. A gasoline 3500 can tow up to 16,800 lbs and carry 7,442 lbs of goods, whereas a diesel drivetrain can potentially tow 20,000 lbs and carry 6,523 lbs. With a gooseneck or fifth-wheel hitch, you can potentially tow 17,200 lbs on gas or up to 36,000 lbs on diesel.

CHEVY SILVERADO 2500 VS. 3500: EXTERIOR DIFFERENCES

Both of these trucks have the exact same styling cues as their corresponding Silverado 1500 model year’s design, barring the badges changing to reflect their 2500 or 3500 status. The 3500 isn’t any larger than the 2500, but both are six inches longer than the 1500, providing a slightly longer wheelbase and a little extra room in the cabin.

The Chevrolet Silverado 2500 offers a normal, double, or extra-large crew cab, plus an 82.8-inch regular bed or a 98.4-inch long bed. The Silverado 3500 also has three cabs, but the regular bed option is just slightly smaller at 81.6 inches.

CHEVY SILVERADO 2500 VS. 3500: PRICING

The Silverado 3500 comes at a higher price to reflect its capability. The Silverado 2500 is an amazing powerhouse at a somewhat cheaper price point, but for many White Marsh drivers, the increased muscle of the 3500 is either necessary or makes life easier. The 2023 Silverado 2500 has an MSRP of $40,500, while the Silverado 3500 starts at $41,700, so there certainly isn’t a major difference.

Overall, some drivers might find themselves caught between a higher-configuration 2500 or a lower-configuration 3500 at roughly the same price, but which ever one you choose, both trucks deliver excellent value for money. Feel free to browse our current Chevy special offers at Koons White Marsh to cut down on the total cost of your Silverado.

DECIDING BETWEEN THE 2500 OR 3500

When it comes to picking between these two highly similar trucks, you don’t have to worry too much. You can’t really go wrong, and the 3500 mostly just expands the work potential. Think about your predicted powertrain needs and consider finding a truck that goes a little further. After all, you don’t lose out from having extra power. Crew Cab Silverado trucks offer more interior space for you and your passengers, but all provide access to the same luxury features as other Silverado models.

If you expect to tow objects up to a certain size, such as your favorite camper, boat, or trailer, simply check the weight of the heaviest one and compare it with the maximum capabilities of your preferred Silverado size and engine combination. If the 3500 is required, go with that, but if the 2500 could work as well, consider test driving some Silverado trucks at our White Marsh dealership. With either, you’ll have a better experience on the job site, a family road trip, or even a date night.

TEST DRIVE A SILVERADO HD AT KOONS WHITE MARSH CHEVROLET

HD trucks are great for big jobs or high-octane fun, and the Silverado 2500 is a powerful, capable, and versatile contender. The Silverado 3500 adds supersized strength to the same design. Both have wide ranges of power and more or less the same standard and optional features, so determine which one best suits your needs and budget.

If you have any further questions, please contact Koons White Marsh Chevrolet, or start browsing our current Chevy models. Simply click to schedule a test drive in what may be your next Silverado. You can also apply for financing in advance, allowing you to begin the truck-buying process from the comfort of your own home.

Light-duty pickup trucks are an excellent choice as well, and you can get as much as 11,000 lbs of towing capacity on new 2023 Silverado 1500 models. Browse these and more work-ready, empowering new Chevy models from the comfort of your home using our online inventory. We offer better financing flexibility than any White Marsh Chevy dealership, as well as special offers and even the opportunity to design your own custom truck.

Few crossovers can match the suave street presence of the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. Distinctive elements emerge from every angle, and its meticulously built cabin pampers every guest. Could it be everything you and your family want in a new vehicle? To be sure, it’s only right to step inside and take a test drive.

Although the Equinox looks great and delivers excellent horsepower, there’s just as much to love in the cabin. At Koons White Marsh Chevrolet, we want to help customers in White Marsh, Maryland, to find the best new Chevy for their needs. Check out this guide to the 2023 Equinox interior.

2023 EQUINOX CABIN COMFORT AND SEATS

The cabin of the 2023 Equinox is made from robust but comfortable materials, including soft-touch or polished surfaces and little to no plastic. Both front- and rear-seat passengers will feel at ease with excellent ride quality and multiple convenient features. Air conditioning and power-controlled windows are standard on the starting trim level, the Equinox LS. It also offers a four-way manual front passenger seat and active noise cancelation. Starting trims can add on an eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support and memory settings.

The supportive front bucket seats are available in various materials and colors, but even the standard cloth options are comfortable. Plenty of additional interior comforts are available as options on LT models or come standard on RS and Premier trims. For instance, you could add a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and through the LT, a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as heated front seats.

2023 EQUINOX INTERIOR COLORS

Tailor the look of your 2023 Chevy Equinox interior with a range of material color choices. You can choose from jet black premium cloth, jet black perforated leather, medium ash gray premium cloth, and jet black/maple sugar perforated leather. Some leather options also add stylish red accent stitching.

2023 EQUINOX DRIVER INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE

The base trim comes equipped with a 3.5-inch diagonal monochromatic driver information center that provides essential information, such as speed, vehicle health, average fuel economy, and tire pressure. Upper trims come with a 4.2-inch diagonal multi-color driver information panel instead. The latter can be customized so you see exactly what you want in your preferred arrangement, along with other benefits, but both are advanced replacements for a more traditional analog gauge cluster.

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is also packed with features to give you peace of mind while driving. Automatic emergency braking, following distance indicator, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and other systems use the safety alert seat. Vibrations from the safety alert seat can guide you more effectively out of dangerous situations. For instance, if you were in danger of drifting out of a lane, your seat might vibrate lightly on the left side. If you prefer only audio cues, you can go to your infotainment screen’s settings area to make that change at any time.

2023 EQUINOX INFOTAINMENT FEATURES

For 2023, the Equinox starts with a 7-inch infotainment touch screen, using quick-loading software arranged in a convenient interface. Over-the-air updates automatically install and download any necessary improvements or corrections. A 12-volt auxiliary cargo area power outlet comes standard on all trims.

White Marsh drivers could upgrade to a Chevrolet Infotainment 3 8-inch diagonal color touch screen. This larger screen is optional with the LT or standard with the Premier and carries the same benefits as the 7-inch screen. A manual tilting and telescoping steering wheel with driving and cabin controls, wireless versions of both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa come standard. Models with the 8-inch screen also come with HD rearview and 360-degree camera modes.

2023 EQUINOX CABIN CONVENIENCES

All 2023 Chevy Equinox SUVs include a rear seat reminder system, ensuring you don’t leave groceries or pets behind, and upgrading to the Equinox LT or higher adds vanity mirrors and an overhead console. One driver convenience related to performance that doesn’t always come standard on competing vehicles is automatic stop/start, which turns the engine off when you come to a complete stop for a few seconds without interrupting the infotainment system or climate control.

2023 EQUINOX CARGO SPACE AND PASSENGER VOLUME

Despite being a small SUV, the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox’s interior cargo capacity of 29.9 cubic feet is substantial. When you need additional space, the rear manual-folding 60/40 split-bench seat folds down, expanding the total volume to 63.9 cubic feet. The motorized liftgate and roof rack options expand your storage space and convenience, but you’re likely to find enough room for all your gear inside.

The 2023 Equinox excels in terms of passenger volume and dimensions. Front headroom is a solid 40 inches, while the rear row gets a nearly identical 38.5 inches. Further, front legroom is 40.9 inches, while rear legroom is just 1 inch shorter.

TEST-DRIVE 2023 EQUINOX MODELS AT KOONS WHITE MARSH CHEVROLET

Of course, the interior is just one of the Equinox’s many benefits. The MyChevrolet mobile app serves as your control center for many interior functions. Heat up or cool down your 2023 Equinox interior remotely with Chevy remote start and climate control functions, relax with Super Cruise, or even take your SUV off the beaten path. On LT models and higher, you can enjoy hands-free liftgates and powerful LED lighting.

All in all, the 2023 Chevy Equinox brings a ton of value, whether you’re looking at the top-level Premier or the base-level Equinox LS. You’re sure to find an Equinox with everything you need to enjoy your next adventure. The question becomes where to buy or lease a Chevy Equinox in White Marsh, Maryland. General dealerships that don’t specialize in Chevrolet may have a lower quality selection, hidden fees, or financing complications. They may also not be able to provide Chevy special offers like we can.

Save time and shop for a new Chevy Equinox or other SUV with the Koons White Marsh Chevrolet online inventory or visit our dealership on 10207 Philadelphia Road. We’re the best dealership to get a 2023 Equinox, a new Chevy, or pre-owned models, all at superior prices. We also provide convenient Chevy automotive services.

The train is accessible, but non-service animals aren’t allowed to join in the fun. You should purchase a Bronze ticket to ensure accessibility during the adventure. The train ride lasts 45 minutes, and the whole experience takes approximately two hours to complete. You’re encouraged to bring your camera to capture precious memories during the event. A professional photographer will be available to take pictures with Santa when the train arrives at the North Pole. The museum encourages families to wear their pajamas and is holding a contest to find the most creatively dressed passengers.

Snacks will be available from a food truck before your adventure begins. The dining car on the train will also offer things to eat for the event. Coach seating is open, but there are assigned seats for Gold and Silver ticket holders. Parking is free in the museum’s parking lot.

The engineering and design of the Chevrolet Traverse have progressed in many ways over the years. The 2023 Traverse is set to break the mold yet again. Here, we cover the differences in the interior and exterior of the Traverse between the 2022 and 2023 model years for your convenience.

TRIM LEVELS AND PRIMARY CHANGES

The 2023 Chevrolet Traverse is available in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive forms of the LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country trim levels. The steering wheel on the LT trims of this SUV has a multi-button, multi-function interface that allows the driver to interact with many of the vehicle’s features, including the infotainment system, radio, and cruise control system. It has three specialized lower grip areas designed to increase hand grip effectiveness on sharp turns. Two new colors for the 2023 version of the Traverse will be available: Radiant Red Tint-Coat and Sterling Grey Metallic.

EXTERIOR STYLING, FEATURES, AND OPTIONS

The design of the Chevrolet Traverse for the 2023 model year represents a flawless fusion of classic SUV style and next-generation esthetics. It maintains the bold, strong, hard-edged look of previous years while embracing the flowing lines of futuristic-looking vehicles. It has a grated black two-segment grille split by a metallic crossbar, a large low-set engine bay air intake, smoothly set headlights that wrap around to the sides of the Traverse slightly, and artistically understated body lines.

This Traverse’s available exterior features include active upper and lower Aero shutters, LED headlights with automatic on and off programming, 18-inch bright silver painted aluminum wheels with Blackwall all-season tires, LED taillights, deeply tinted glass, and windshield wipers with washers on both ends of the vehicle. A rear camera mirror washer, 20-inch polished aluminum versions of the wheels, bright chrome door handles, and power-folding, power-adjustable heated side-view mirrors with turn signals are also available. The Dual SkyScape two-panel sunroof with power rear sunscreen makes for an amazing passenger sky view day or night.

A COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE-CENTRIC CABIN

The inside of the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse is engineered with long commuters and leisure drivers alike in mind. Its available interior features include front passenger door umbrella holders, a 120-volt AC power outlet, express up and down power windows, a pair of USB ports for each seating row, heated front seats, a driver’s seat position memory system, and a manual day-night rearview mirror.

The seating upholstery is available in perforated leather-appointed or premium cloth forms. Other interior options include cruise control, lockout protection capable door locks, theater-dimming interior lighting, a rear-window electric defogger, and a digital compass display. A heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, ventilated front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control with three independent control consoles, and a wireless phone charging unit are optional.

A WIDE RANGE OF ENTERTAINMENT FEATURES

The 2023 Traverse comes with a six-speaker sound system with active noise cancellation programming, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a SiriusXM satellite radio. The Platinum version of SiriusXM satellite radio is also available for this vehicle. Its infotainment system is a 7-inch diagonal color touch screen with AM/FM stereo, two-device Bluetooth, voice-command-to-phone, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto programming. Optional entertainment features include wireless versions of the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio and GPS navigation, and a magnificent 10-speaker Bose premium sound system with a center console set subwoofer.

TEEN DRIVER PROGRAMMING AND A SOLID SET OF SAFETY FEATURES

The 2023 Chevrolet Traverse is ideal for families with new drivers. It includes programming that allows parents to customize the settings of their Traverse and set them to a particular key fob unit. Notable aspects of the Traverse Teen Driver System include safety feature deactivation lockout, a buckle-up to drive engine ignition requirement setting, and a vehicle report card compilation program. The generated report cards will help you show your teen driver how they can improve their driving. The Remote Access system allows drivers to unlock their Traverse through the myChevrolet mobile app.

Primary safety features available on the 2023 Traverse include forward collision alert, a rearview camera, rear child-protective door locks, a tire pressure monitor, automatic emergency braking, a following distance indicator, lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning, a pedestrian detection system with emergency braking, and the LATCH anchor and tether car seat system. OnStar service is also available on this vehicle, allowing drivers to summon help in an emergency with the touch of a button. The StabiliTrak traction and stability control system augment the ride safety of the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse.

ENGINE, TOWING, PAYLOAD, AND CARGO CAPACITY RATINGS

The 2023 Chevrolet Traverse can tow up to 5,000 pounds, thanks to a 3.6L V-6 engine that provides 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. This Traverse’s transmission is a nine-speed automatic version. Its suspension system is an independent five-link MacPherson strut version with auxiliary spring aids. It has a maximum payload capacity of 1,850 pounds and a maximum cargo area of 23 cubic feet. That expands to 98 cubic feet of cargo area with the seating areas behind the first row included.

SUPREME CUSTOMIZABILITY

One of the more remarkable aspects of the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse is its sheer customizability. Each trim level of this SUV has an impressive list of options that is far longer than each respective list of non-optional standard features. This means prospective owners of the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse can select the features they want and leave off the ones they don’t, maximizing the vehicle’s desired feature-to-price relationship. There’s no need to pay for features you don’t want or need in the case of this fantastically customizable SUV.

The 2023 Chevrolet Traverse is available in all its many forms at Koons White Marsh Chevrolet. Our experienced and attentive team of professionals will be happy to help you configure your ideal SUV. After that, our skilled finance department team will work to find the best possible deal for you. Feel free to reach out to us if you’re interested in learning more about the 2023 Traverse.

Chevrolet is preparing to release an all-electric version of its full-sized Silverado pickup for the 2024 model year. Many fans of the Silverado 1500 will wonder how much the new electric truck will share with its gas-powered sibling. While we’ll have to wait a few months yet to find out all the details, our Chevy experts here at Koons White Marsh already know some of the key facts about the Silverado electric vehicle (EV). Here’s a look at how these two Chevy trucks will compare.

CHEVY SILVERADO EV POWERTRAINS AND PERFORMANCE

The most obvious difference between the Silverado 1500 and Silverado EV is the powertrain. The Silverado EV will have two electric motors and a battery pack, which will combine to generate up to 664 horsepower. All-wheel drive will be standard, and the truck will also boast a four-wheel steering system. The electric powertrain will generate around 510 horsepower in the base WT trim and reach its peak in the range-topping RST.

The gas-powered Silverado offers four engine options. The base engine is a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit that can put out 310 horsepower. This is a decent engine for driving around town or on the highway. However, if you plan to do a lot of towing, you’ll probably want to choose between the 5.7-liter V-8 or 6.2-liter V-8. These larger engines produce 355 horsepower and 420 horsepower, respectively. There’s also a 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine that combines strong towing abilities with fuel efficiency. The standard Silverado’s gas mileage ranges from 31 mpg on the highway with the turbodiesel to 20 mpg with the largest V-8. Chevy expects the Silverado EV to have a range of 400 miles when its battery is fully charged, although this figure will be reduced when you’re towing or hauling. With fast DC charging, you’ll be able to add 100 miles of range to the battery in just 10 minutes.

SILVERADO TOWING AND PAYLOAD LIMITS

The Silverado EV will have maximum towing and payload limits of 10,000 pounds and 1,300 pounds, respectively. The maximum towing limit will be offered in the RST trim, while the base WT will have a towing capacity of 8,000 pounds.

The gas-powered Silverado can tow up to 13,300 pounds and haul up to 2,270 pounds. You need a truck with the largest V-8 engine to access the maximum towing capacity. Silverados achieve the full hauling capacity with the turbocharged four-cylinder unit.

CARGO AND PASSENGER CAPACITY

The standard Silverado 1500 is available in three cab configurations. The Regular cab is a two-door setup with seating for three, making it an excellent choice for a work truck. The two four-door cab options are the Double and Crew cabs. The Crew cab is best if you’ll be traveling with adult passengers in the rear since it offers 43 inches of legroom compared to the Double cab’s 35 inches.

There are also three cargo bed lengths for you to choose from. The longest bed is only available with the Regular cab and measures 8 feet 2 inches in length. The two shorter beds measure 6 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches.

We’re not sure about the cargo bed options that the Silverado EV will offer just yet. However, the GMC Hummer rides on the same platform and includes a bed measuring 5 feet in length. It also boasts a Crew cab with five seats as the only cab option, so there’s sure to be plenty of room in both rows for adult passengers. As the release date nears, we’ll provide an update with more specifics about the Silverado EV’s configurations.

INFOTAINMENT AND SAFETY FEATURES

The infotainment system in the Silverado EV will be one of its highlights. The base WT trim will get an 11-inch touch screen, while the more expensive RST will be equipped with a whopping 17-inch display. The standard setup includes an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, while the RST will have an 11-inch version. We expect that Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a navigation system, and a Wi-Fi hotspot will be standard.

The gas-powered Silverado offers a 7-inch screen in its base trim, but a 13.4-inch display is an optional upgrade. You can also add a six-speaker or seven-speaker stereo, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The Silverado EV will also likely include a semi-autonomous driving mode that allows you to take your hands off the steering wheel under certain conditions. Other expected features include front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning.

Apart from the semi-autonomous driving system, all of these features are offered in the gas-powered Silverado. The Silverado 1500 also has a rear-seat reminder and Teen Driver, which allows you to set speed limits and other restrictions for younger family members learning to drive.

TRIMS

The Silverado EV is expected to hit showrooms sometime in the first half of 2023 with the WT trim. We expect this trim to have an MSRP of around $39,000. The RST trim will arrive later in the year and will be fully loaded with various upgrades and have an MSRP of around $105,000. Chevy has promised to add trims to the lineup, including one with an incredible towing capacity of 20,000 pounds.

The gas-powered Silverado is currently sold in eight trims. The WT is the base trim and a popular choice for anyone looking for a work truck. The Trail Boss and ZR2 trims are designed specifically with off-roading in mind, whereas the RST and High Country focus more on upscale and outright luxurious features.

If you want to know more about the Silverado EV or keep up to speed with its release date, don’t hesitate to contact us. At Koons White Marsh Chevrolet, we can also help arrange a test drive in Baltimore, Maryland, so you can see how the Silverado 1500 performs on the road before you buy one. Our finance team is on hand to help you secure a competitive auto loan, and our service and parts experts will support you with professional vehicle maintenance services after you drive your new truck off our lot.

The Chevrolet Tahoe is back for 2023 with a host of improvements. As the third model year of the fifth-generation Tahoe, you can expect minor enhancements rather than a real revamp. However, don’t underestimate the impact of these minor changes. Whether you’re a long-time Tahoe fan or considering a new model for your large family, Chevrolet’s 2023 tweaks make the latest Tahoe a great option for your next vehicle. Check out this update by our team at Koons White Marsh Chevrolet in White Marsh, Maryland, to find out what the new Chevrolet Tahoe has to offer.

PERFORMANCE EDITION FOR RST TRIM

If you love vehicles that stand out, the new Performance Edition of the Tahoe’s RST trim is for you. This special edition trim is a real head-turner, with black 20-inch aluminum wheels, a black RST badge on the rear tailgate, and sport pedals as standard. It uses much of the technology seen on Chevrolet’s pursuit-rated police vehicle packages, so you know it’ll outperform the competition. The Performance’s induction and exhaust systems boost the 6.2L V-8 motor’s performance substantially. It generates 433 hp, 13 hp more than the standard RST, and 467 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 7 lb-ft.

It’s not just more powerful than any other Tahoe; it’s also faster. This model can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in under six seconds and has a top speed of 124 miles per hour on the test track. The Brembo front and rear brakes with Torch red calipers are 25% larger to deliver a new stopping distance record of 133 feet from 60 miles per hour. Chevrolet has also tweaked the suspension system to ensure the Performance Edition delivers the smoothest ride possible. The Luxury Package, with enhanced active safety and driver convenience features, also comes standard.

THREE NEW COLORS

Chevrolet has introduced three stylish new color options for the Tahoe in 2023. If you love a little sparkle, consider Silver Sage Metallic or Sterling Gray Metallic. Radiant Red Tintcoat is another excellent option if you prefer a solid paint color. Chevrolet has never released these colors before, so choosing them is a great way to make sure your new Tahoe stands out.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORY BLACK GRILLE

Chevrolet gives motorists who choose the LS, LT, RST, and Premier trims the option of a sophisticated new accessory black grille. It’ll cost you a little more of course, but this gleaming black front makes a premium style statement. The grille also swaps out the traditional bowtie logo for elegant lettering spelling out the Chevrolet name all in capitals. It’s a stylish touch for people who want to leave no doubt that they’re driving a Chevrolet.

OPTIONAL SUPER CRUISE ON SELECTED TRIMS

If you’re ready to jump into the future of hands-free driving, you might consider the Tahoe’s Premier or High Country trims. Chevrolet intends to add General Motors’ innovative Super Cruise driving feature to these high-end models. This handy feature has the power to revolutionize your daily commute and next road trip. While you’ll need to stay alert to operate the system, the technology can accelerate, steer, brake, and change lanes without your input. With the helping hand of technology on your side, you can expect to enjoy drives with less stress and reduced risk of human error.

The mix of cameras, sensors, GPS, and LiDAR mapping technology monitors your position on the road and in relation to other vehicles and road users. Another camera mounted on the steering wheel ensures that you stay alert for ultimate safety. Adaptive Cruise Control helps you maintain your speed while keeping a safe gap between you and other vehicles on the road.

With Super Cruise installed, you can enjoy hands-free driving and trailering across 200,000 miles of system-recognized roads in the United States and Canada. General Motors plans to double its existing driving network, so if you can’t already use this feature where you want to go, you’ll probably be able to soon on undivided roads as well as interstates. The only question is when this feature will be available on the Tahoe. The semiconductor shortage may delay its roll-out, but at the time of writing Chevrolet still intended to offer the Super Cruise feature this model year.

ALL THE FEATURES YOU ALREADY LOVED ABOUT THE TAHOE

Chevrolet has retained many of the features we already loved about the Tahoe. The three powerful engine options remain impressive. To refresh your memory, there’s the 5.3L V-8, the 6.2L V-8 we mentioned earlier, and the Duramax 3.0L I-6 Turbo-Diesel engine. The 10-speed automatic transmission system harnesses the power of whatever engine you choose. You can also select a rear-wheel-drive system or a four-wheel-drive system for extra traction.

Four-wheel drive is the best choice if you plan to take the Tahoe off-road or use it for towing. With a maximum towing capacity of 8,400 lbs, it’s more than capable of hauling a boat or trailer. It’s also got impressive off-road credentials, especially if you choose the Z71 trim that’s designed especially for fun on rugged terrain. This trim level has all the off-road inclusions fans love, including chunky all-terrain tires, a two-speed transfer case, and an adjustable air suspension.

The Tahoe is also a great people mover with plenty of space for a growing family or groups of friends. There’s space for up to eight passengers, but, unlike so many vehicles in this class, people in the second and rear row aren’t squashed in. Chevrolet provides a generous amount of leg, head, and shoulder room, so even adults will feel comfortable in the back. The Tahoe retains a maximum cargo capacity of 122.9 cubic feet. That’s more than enough space for most weekly grocery shops, sporting equipment for weekend matches, and luggage for family vacations.
