PERFORMANCE

If you’re planning on hauling cargo with your Tahoe, you can expect a minimum payload capacity of 1,655 pounds. The four-wheel-drive models are capable of hauling up to 1,834 pounds. As far as towing capacity goes, the Tahoe can lug anywhere between 8,000 and 8,400 pounds. This means you can carry just about anything the size of a large travel trailer or smaller. The payload capacity for the Expedition varies based on trim packages but certain models can haul up to 1,770 pounds. If equipped with the proper towing package, the Expedition can tow up to 9,300 pounds.

Looking into fuel efficiency, the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe six-cylinder diesel engine gets an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. This averages out to 24 mpg combined. The gasoline two-wheel drive trim can get you an EPA-estimated 15 mpg in the city, 20 mpg on the highway, and 17 mpg combined. The Expedition offers an EPA-estimated 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway, with a combined fuel rating of 19 mpg.

EXTERIOR CUSTOMIZATION

As far as exteriors go, the Tahoe offers more color options than the Expedition with eye-catching colors like cherry red tintcoat, auburn metallic, dark ask metallic, summit white, and evergreen gray metallic. There are 10 unique Tahoe exterior colors to choose from, while the Expedition has only seven color choices for the top-tier trim level. Other exterior upgrades for the Tahoe include 22-inch high-gloss black painted aluminum wheels, monochromatic black accents, illuminated mirror emblems, a front license plate bracket, and black roof rack cross rails that are both functional and sleek looking.

INTERIOR COMFORTS

While both models offer plenty of room with seating and ample cargo space, there are some differences between them. Where the Expedition offers third-row seating with many trim models, the Tahoe has standard third-row seating in every single trim model and configuration. This means that no matter which trim you get on your new Tahoe, you can bring the whole crew along.

The Tahoe offers 42.3 inches of front-row headroom and 44.5 inches of front-row legroom compared to the 42 inches of headroom and 43.9 inches of legroom in the Expedition. Second-row passengers can enjoy 38.9 inches of headroom and 42 inches of legroom in the Tahoe or 40 inches of headroom and 41.5 inches of legroom in the Expedition. Overall, the Tahoe boasts more head and legroom in the first and second rows, which can help you and your passengers ride more comfortably.

SAFETY

The Tahoe comes with an assortment of standard safety features, including forward collision alerts with automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assistance with lane departure warning, and a following distance indicator. Other available features include rear cross traffic alert, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, HD surround vision, safety alert seat, rear park assistance, and OnStar technology, which all come together to give the Tahoe a four-star National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) rating.

The Expedition also comes with a variety of standard and available safety and driver assistance features. With the top trim option, you get access to two new standard safety and driver assistance features called BlueCruise and Trail Turn Assist. Available upgrade options include a forward sensing system, which is standard on the Tahoe.

CHECK YOUR VEHICLE’S FLUIDS

Before you head out on a road trip, it’s important to ensure that your vehicle’s fluids are all at their proper levels. There are several fluids that each play a critical role in your car’s ability to function. Perhaps most critical is the vehicle’s engine oil. Take your car to a mechanic and ask them to check your motor oil. If your oil’s low, take the steps to fill it with the right type and to the proper level. RED BRICK STATION

Red Brick Station in Nottingham is a great place for kids and adults. Its menu has a wide variety of dishes from different cuisines, and it offers a dedicated kids menu. With everything cooked to order, you can always count on a good meal.

The Junior Firefighters menu has items for kids 10 and under. They can choose from mozzarella sticks, a grilled cheese, chicken fingers, or a junior-sized burger. All the kid’s meals come with french fries, a fruit cup, or broccoli, and they can also get a fountain drink or milk.

If you have older kids, the regular menu features burgers, and they can get it with a side of fries, tater tots, sweet potato fries, rice, or broccoli. There’s also meatloaf and lots of different crab items to choose from, along with chicken wings and flatbreads.

No matter who heads to Red Brick Station, they are sure to find something they like on the menu. It also has a relaxed atmosphere so you can enjoy having a meal as a family.

GUNPOWDER LODGE

Make sure to take the kids to Gunpowder Lodge. This restaurant has a rustic feel and features a menu with homemade dishes. It sits on the Gunpowder River in Gunpowder State Park, offering an ideal setting for a family dinner.

The kids menu features baked mac and cheese, chicken bites, grilled cheese, and butter pasta, and they can get it with a fruit cup, apple sauce, house chips, or hand-cut fries.

The big kids and adults can feast on Kingsville chili and Southwest nachos to start and then choose from a variety of quesadillas, tacos, sandwiches, and pizza. Some of the entrees include pot roast dinner, IPA glazed pasta, Asian stir fry, and the almost famous Cajun shrimp and rice. This has blackened gulf shrimp with a Cajun cream sauce over wild rice.

RR TAQUERIA

RR Taqueria in Baltimore is the perfect place for families who like Mexican food. There are all kinds of tacos on the menu, from chicken and beef to pork belly. If the kids like burgers, they’ll love the ones they can get at RR Taqueria. The Fuego Burger has spicy BBQ sauce, bacon, spicy cheese, and Sriracha mayo, and the Cowboy Burger has smoked bacon, some sliced jalapenos for heat, shredded lettuce, and chipotle mayo.

If you want something to share, try Chef Rod’s Nachos. This dish comes with tortilla chips topped with beef, chicken, or pork, melted cheese, and Mexican relish. You can also get the Outrageous Fries. These are just like nachos but come with french fries instead of tortilla chips.

LIB’S GRILL

Lib’s Grill has something for everyone. There are lots of kid-friendly items on the regular menu, and there’s also a kids menu for the younger ones. The atmosphere in this restaurant is great for families, making it easy to bring everyone out for dinner. The adults and kids can get the J.W. Treuth Burger with a seedless bun, handcrafted beef, and toppings of your choice, or the BBQ bacon fried chicken.

The menu also features several beef entrees if the kids like to dig into a juicy steak, and you can also get pan-roasted chicken and lobster mac and cheese.

The kids menu has several options, including a burger with french fries, chicken tenders with fries, cheese pizza, and mac and cheese. The little ones can also get pasta with butter or marinara sauce.

SUNSET COVE

Sunset Cove is a fun waterfront dining experience for the whole family. The beach seating is great for the kids, and since it’s right at the Maryland Marina, they can even watch the boats as you eat. Sunset Cove doesn’t have a specific menu for the kids, but the regular menu has a wide variety of kid-friendly items.

The burgers come with chips or fries, and there are several to choose from. The Sunset has American cheese, smoked bacon, fried eggs, and chipotle aioli, or you can get the OG, which is a traditional burger or chicken breast topped with anything you want.

The menu also features tacos and quesadillas, which are always a hit with the kids.

MCFOUL’S IRONHORSE TAVERN

McFoul’s IronHorse Tavern has a huge menu, so everyone in the family can find something they like, no matter how picky they are. The kids are sure to love Mickey’s Smash Burger with two beef patties, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, pickles, red onion, and the special Mickey sauce.

There’s also a fork and knife chili dog that comes with two Nathan’s hot dogs smothered in chili and then topped with cheddar, jalapenos, pickled red onion, and sour cream.

If the adults or kids like tacos, there are several on the menu. For entrees, you can get ravioli, fish and chips, braised short rib, and sheppards pie. The eastern shore chicken tenders are a good choice for kids who prefer something simple. These come with a choice of honey mustard, ranch, or barbecue sauce, but if they just like them plain, they can do that too.

If you feel like digging into a big steak, there’s a 16-ounce T-bone on the menu that comes with smashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, and garlic butter.

Chevy’s two trucks, the Silverado 1500 and Colorado, are very popular and among some of our best sellers. That’s because both vehicles have strong points for different types of vehicle buyers. The Silverado 1500’s power and vast cargo bed are ideal for a work truck, while the more compact Colorado retains many advantages of a pickup on a more practical scale for day-to-day driving.

WHAT ARE THE CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 AND COLORADO?

The Chevy Silverado 1500 is a full-sized pickup truck with a long history. It can be equipped with a mammoth cargo bed measuring over 8 feet in length, and it can seat between three and six passengers. It boasts a towing capacity of over 13,000 pounds, helping it tackle just about any challenge on the job site. You can choose between three cab sizes: a Regular cab that seats three, an Extended Cab with room for six, and a Crew Cab to seat six.

Under the hood, the Silverado 1500 has a wide range of engine options. Some of the most popular are two extremely powerful V-8s and a durable six-cylinder turbodiesel that gets some of the best towing numbers. The best fuel economy is offered by the turbodiesel, which achieves 23 mpg on city roads and 33 mpg on the highway.

The Chevy Colorado can be a compact or mid-sized pickup truck. Its longest cargo bed measures just over 6 feet. The two cab options provide seating for four or five people.

Although the Colorado can tow and haul much less than the Silverado, its numbers are still impressive. The Colorado can tow up to 7,700 pounds, which is the best for the compact pickup class.

In terms of power, the Colorado’s strongest engine options are a V-6 that puts out just over 300 horsepower and a turbodiesel, which gives this pickup its best towing numbers. The turbodiesel gives you the best fuel economy, with numbers of 20 mpg in the city and 30 mpg at highway speeds.

Both the Silverado and Colorado are equipped with a wide range of modern infotainment features. While their sizes may be different, both Chevy vehicles feature large screens, stereos, and a variety of connectivity options. They’re also equipped with a good selection of driver safety technology, such as automatic emergency braking, parking sensors, and blind spot monitoring.

There’s no denying that if you’re buying a truck primarily for towing and hauling, the Silverado 1500 wins hands down. Its towing capacity is almost twice as much as the Colorado’s, and you can gain an additional 2 feet in length in the cargo bed.

The Silverado 1500 has an engine lineup that’s tough to argue with. The largest V-8 puts out over 400 horsepower, while the turbodiesel offers plenty of torque for towing. The Silverado is therefore a great choice if power is what you want.

The two larger cab options are vast, giving you lots of space for adult passengers in both rows. The spacious cab makes the Silverado a great family vehicle and a powerful workhorse at the same time. The Crew Cab is particularly popular if you have rear-row adult passengers traveling with you often, since it provides much more legroom.

The Silverado has some great off-roading upgrades on offer, and its size enables it to deal comfortably with rough terrain when the pavement ends. The Trail Boss trim features an upgraded suspension, steel skid plates, and hill descent control.

BENEFITS OF THE CHEVY COLORADO

The Colorado is a more practical option for day-to-day driving. Its smaller dimensions mean you’ll have an easier time moving in and out of parking spots, and finding your way through busy city traffic.

The Colorado’s two cargo bed options may be smaller than what’s offered in the Silverado, but they still provide you with a huge amount of cargo space compared to most vehicles. You can load up the Colorado with everything you’ll need for a weekend trip out of town or the items you’ve bought from the hardware store for a home improvement project. In addition, its towing abilities are more than enough to keep many people happy. Its capacity of over 7,000 pounds is more than enough to handle a mid-sized camper, or trailer to carry your boat or other items.

The Colorado’s engine lineup is more than adequate for tackling day-to-day driving. In fact, as its strong towing numbers show, the vast majority of buyers will find they have all the power they need, especially with the V-6 or turbodiesel under the hood.

The Colorado may be smaller, but it’s no less capable of dealing with an off-roading challenge. As you move up through the trim levels, the price difference continues to increase. So even if you want to add a touch of luxury to your Colorado, you can do so on a much more modest budget than if you chose the Silverado 1500.
